It is finally complete....
We finished the final project of installing artificial turf in our backyard this weekend. It is so great to be able to enjoy the little extra space that we have.

Mama "wickies"- Dada "baby"?
So lately Laekin thinks that everything mama has- dada has too and vice versa. She loves to feel Jeremy's scratchy face and she calls his whiskers "wickies." Then she looks at me and says "mama wickies?" No... I hope not... I am starting to get a little self conscious. I do have a little more facial hair unfortunately when I am pregnant but not enough for her to notice! She also loves to look for the baby and kiss my tummy but then she goes to Jeremy and says "Dada baby?" Funny girl.

Creative Side...
Lately I have been in "project mode"... making these personalized letters for my nephews. I bought the wooden letters and then used different types of scrapbooking paper to paste on the letters. Along with these letters I have also been making hair clips for Laekin and slings to carry your baby or toddler in (similar to mayawrap.com). Fun Fun.

Trip to Florida!
Laekin and I were in Florida for 10 days and it was amazing! We couldn't have asked for better timing with the whole trip. We left during Jeremy's busy season with work, which we would not have seen much of him if we would have stayed here. We arrived in Florida and spent the time with my sis, Matt, and Silas. My sis was due on the 2nd of May and that was the day we were scheduled to come back to Cali. But from talking to Pam... she really thought she would have her baby before then. God's timing and grace in everything just amazes me. The first part of the trip we spent lots of time catching up, taking the kids swimming, to the beach, the zoo, and on many walks. By 9pm on Thursday night Pam was having some intense contractions... mostly due to the Castor oil that her midwife said she could take. We were at the maternity center by 10:30pm, put the kids to sleep in an empty room, and my mom, myself, Matt, and the midwife supported Pam through her labor. By 11:30 and after two good pushes my little nephew Luke was born! What an opportunity and blessing to be with my sister through her labor and birth. Laekin was very excited to meet Luke and loved pointing out his body parts (hands, nose, eyes, peet "feet", yegs "legs"). We flew out the next day on Friday. We look forward to August when we see each other again!
