I love pictures. I could look at old and recent pictures for hours. I am the one at Costco holding up the check out line because I just can't wait to look at my newly developed photos and I have become so focused in checking them all out. If I don't look at them in the check out line then I will for sure look at them before pulling out of the parking lot.
Lately we have been showing Laekin pictures on our computer after a day's event... the beach, camping, playing with friends, etc. Last night her and I were sitting on the couch and she looked at me and said "picers", while shaking her head yes. It took me a couple tries to figure it out but then I grabbed the computer and Laekin quickly cuddled up next to me. We must have sat there looking at pictures for 20 minutes. She loved it. She loves to tell me who is in the photo: dada, sand, beach, peet (feet), birdie, nana, and papa.

Week Off!
This past week was very relaxing and filled with fun family times. I (Jeremy) took the week off of work so we started off with a camping trip to Doheny State Beach (I know, we didn't wander off too far). Jen's parents met us down there so we got two spots next to each other in the campground. Laekin did great for her first time tent camping and seemed to love it. She spent the 3 days filthy dirty, playing on the beach, and exploring nature with nana and papa. Justin, Kira, Joelle and Reid came down for one afternoon to hang out with us.
Justin (brother) and Kira (his wife) just got back from 2 months of traveling overseas so we, along with my other siblings, spent a day down at Crystal Cove State Beach. We went down for breakfast at the Beachcomber and spent the day hanging out on the beach.
What a great week off!

"Dah-Do"
I think that Laekin is trying to show us that she is ready for her first doggie! But mom and dad are much smarter than that. This is Laekin with her great aunt's "Dah-Do". She loves animals and gets this sweet little tone in her voice when she says "Hi" to any dog, cat, bird, or horse.
