Little Mama

Our sweet little Laekin has been developing her mothering skills lately. She loves her baby Kate and takes care of her by rocking her to sleep, feeding her, and changing her diaper. One day last week when I was sick and crying on the couch she saw me and ran into the bathroom to get a kleenex. She came to me with concern and said "Mommy wipe your tears" as she kept wiping my eyes over and over.

Dear "Ny-Nee,"

You have been my best friend during nap time and bedtime over the past 2 years. Thank you for helping me to go to sleep, especially those nights when mom and dad put me in bed and I was bouncing off the walls. As long as you were there- I would soon be sleeping peacefully. I never thought I would see the day that we would have to part. Mom and Dad thought too much about how and when they would separate us. Well I really got them this time! I bit a hole in you a few days ago and things haven't been the same since. You are just not very helpful to me anymore. I am getting to be a big girl now too and I am happy to part ways. I would also rather hear myself sing and talk before falling asleep. Thanks again and goodbye!
