Well, we celebrated Laekin's 1st birthday. Laekin had sweets for the first time...she got to indulge in a strawberry cupcake and some chocolate chip ice cream (but did not get nearly as messy as we hoped she would)! She was rather particular, just using one finger at first. Once she figured out how good it tasted, she shoveled the cake and ice cream a little more quickly into her mouth.
